MeMe: Six Unimportant Things About Me

I've been tagged.

By who? Jill D from Romance Rookie. Hi Jill!

Rules:

1. Link back to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Share six unimportant things about you
4. Tag six random people at the end of your blog entry
5. Let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blog.

1.) I love lakes, but I am scared to death to walk further than a foot out into one. If the water goes to my calves, I turn back around. I have no problem with swimming pools or oceans, just lakes.

2.) My lunch usually consists of a Twix bar and apple juice; my lunch is usually my first meal of the day.

3.) I pride myself on being a really good cook and my husband agrees. But I have a bad habit of critising my cooking and saying that it is horrible (when I know it's not) just to hear my husband tell me that it's really good. I've been doing this for two years and he has yet to catch on.Photobucket

4.) When I was six I almost fell from the seat of a roller coaster as it went down the first dip. My aunt, who was my riding partner, had to pull me up by my shirt to keep me in. I've been petrified of roller coasters ever since.

5.) I have a huge obsession with soap operas, telenovelas (Spanish soaps) and téléromans (French soaps). Since moving to Hawaii I've started getting in to doramas (Japanese* soaps) as well.

6.) I can not go to sleep at night without reading a least one chapter of a book. Most times I read more than a chapter, but I've become so OC about reading at least one, that my body won't rest until I do so.

I'm tagging...

Christina, Keishon, Kmont, and Bookgal. I know I'm short two people, sorry.

  1. hey Brie!

It was very interesting unimportant facts :) So you live in Hawaii? Lucky :)

About no.3, LOL :) well you know, if you've been criticizing your cooking for a long time, it's normal that your husband hasn't catched on...

no. 4 - I'd be scared to death too of roller coasters if it happened to me.

no.5, LOL :) by the way, only Japanese call their tv series doramas. Do you watch any TVB series?

  2. I can't stop grinning over your criticizing your own cooking, and your hubby hasn't got a clue yet. LOL

I'm scared of roller coasters too. No, I didn't experience what you did ... I'm just naturally scared of heights.

  3. OH MY GOSH! If I almost fell from a roller coaster, you can bet your arse, I wouldn't ever set foot on one again!

Awww, Men. Sometimes they can be so clueless!

  4. Hey Brie! I would love to visit Hawaii! Six unimportant things about me? I'd have to think about something like that because I don't cook, I don't like to drive, uh, I'm a slow reader, love techie stuff - hmmm, that's it! I think.

  5. Hi Nath, I actually had doramas listed as Japanese soaps at first, but changed it thinking that they might apply to more Asian cultures. I know now that I should have left it at that.

I believe the name of the series I've been watched is Heart of Greed. It was very good. I'm looking forward to beginning a new one when I find the time.

Jace, I don't remember myself being scared of heights until after that happened. I loved roller coasters before that.

Thanks for tagging me, Jill. It was fun. : )

  6. Hi Keishon, I had a hard time coming up with six unimportant things about myself at first. I think I'm rather boring but somehow I managed.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

  7. hey Brie :) Heart of Greed was the tv series with the family with 2 mothers right? and the "small" mother wanted to steal the inheritance (kind of)... and there was 4 kids right? That one was really interesting :) By the way, can I ask what language are you watching them?

They're making Heart of Greed 2. Same cast, but different story... Apparently, this time, the little sister of "Big mother" is the evil mistress... and "Small mother" is the "Big mother" sister. LOL, confusing :) By the way, if you like doramas, try Nodame Cantabile live-action. It's a 11 eps. series with 2 special eps.

  8. Thanks for the tag. I played along. I didn't mention it but I don't like roller coasters either. I got stuck upside down once.

  9. Yes, Nath that sounds like it. I know that it was about one family and all of their drama. I watched it in Japanese, as I watch all foreign soaps without captioning. It makes my viewing experience more entertaining. : )

I didn't know that there was a sequel coming out. It does sound confusing but I'm sure I will watch it, anyway.

Hi Bookgal, I could not imagine getting stuck upside down on a roller coaster. I would have freaked out. :0

  10. You speak Japanese? How cool!! I learn a year, but forgot most of it :( and they dubbed TVB series in japanese? LOL :)

and yeah, it sounds a bit confusing, but it's not a sequel, sequel... it's just same cast and same concept.

  11. Hehe Nath, I only know a few Japanese words. While I watch it in Japanese, I don't know what they are talking about. Unless I'm able to pick up on the story by their actions I'm pretty much lost. ;)

  12. LOL, OKay... so did you get the storyline of Heart of Greed?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yes, Nath I pretty much understood it. Watching foreign soaps is a lot like watching a silent movie.

Actions speak louder than words, type of thing.
